Bhagavatham is the Scripture written by the great sage Veda Vyasa. The essence of this scripture is how Maharshi Sukha the son of Veda Vyasa, helped in transforming the fearful mind of King Parikshit the son of Abhimanyu, into a fearless one. Here Veda Vyasa is narrating the discussion between his son, the Guru Sri Sukha and the Shishya Parikshit.
Sapthaham is the unfolding of the Bhagavatham with all its essence and character over a span of Seven continuous days. It is needed by the younger generation and older generation alike. We have this privilege to be blessed with immense Knowledge and be Liberated from all fears, worries and miseries faced in Life.
Bhagavatham is normally considered as a story of different Incarnations or Avatars. But in reality it is a valuable, spiritual, psychological and scientific counseling provided to elevate a stressed, frustrated and depressed mind, which is caught in the fear of the inevitable destiny.
Bhagavatham is an eye opener and guide to the modern world and deals with the elimination of fear in the mind and in a way reinstall mental courage and courage born out of understanding one’s own Self and God. Here the Great Sage Veda Vyasa confirms that every mind is capable of Self transformation.
Srimad Bhagavatham is the Essence of all Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads. It is called the “ripe fruit of the tree of Vedic Literature”. This shows the sweetness of Bhagavatham or the visible form of the Lord.
We feel that Bhagavatham is for the devoted seeker of Truth alone. But in reality it is for the common man too.

Our Sages were so intelligent that they introduced Knowledge through mesmerizing stories and presented to us this philosophy through mythology. During the Sapthaham Swamiji will be unwrapping the stories to extract the hidden Truths in them. The beauty of these stories is that they depict important Truths and messages in a simple way, to help us face all challenges in our life courageously. It helps us to efficiently play the many roles that we take in life.
Now, How do we do Bhakthi? Only through the association of Satsang shall we achieve Bhakthi. Listening to the Bhagavatham which contains everything about the name, form, leela, maya and incarnations of Lord Vishnu through this Bhagavatha Sapthaham is the best way to cultivate true Bhakti.
Eventually, we will develop an absolutely peaceful, strong and happy mind and will be liberated from all kinds of worries and miseries. Yes, the ultimate objective or aim of attending the Bhagavatha Sapthaham is to develop a true understanding or awareness of one’s own mind.
